Midsummer Calendar

Use solar colors for this calendar -- yellow, orange, and gold.  Use browns and trans for additional ccontrast colors.  Buttons (21) should be in a paler version of one of these shades as should the yarn.  Cut Sun Wheels and balefires as border designs.  For a different look you can cut the felt background in the shape of  a large Sun Wheel.  Glue the design to heavy cardboard when finished for stability.  Glue the poem in the center and place the buttons around the outside.  With either calendar, begin untying the buttons on June 1.
